Joel has been a Conservation Officer in British Columbia since 2008. His interest in predators has allowed him to focus his career on predator response and human attack response. He is a member of the Wildlife Conflict Instructor Team for the BC COS, as well as a Predator Attack Team specialist.
For the past 7 years, Joel has trained and responded to multiple predator attacks including fatalities and injuries by all of the large predators in BC.
Joel has attended and presented at various WHART conferences and enjoys seeing some familiar faces from across North America and meeting some new people with an interest for Human – Wildlife Conflicts. Joel's energy is contagious and he's always primed and ready for another WHART conference!
